Explore the Woods, Ruins and Trees.

On Sunday June 9th come to Lesnes Abbey and take an opportunity to explore the woods, the arboretum and the abbey ruins while visiting the Farmer’s Market.

We will be running an extended series of fun and interesting events to give you the opportunity to explore and discover this beautiful space in Abbey Wood.


The Clearing

From 11:00 am until 4:00 pm visit the new outdoor classroom by New Road and watch or join in with various activities involving traditional woodland skills such as green woodworking, natural dyes and other crafting.

Guided Walks

Our knowledgeable guides will take you on a journey around the woods, among the ruins and even through time. A fun way to explore and discover some of the amazing things in Lesnes Abbey Woods.

We cannot guarantee that the walks will not overrun slightly, so best to prioritise accordingly.

Directions

You can get to the clearing by following the footpath up New Road and then cutting into the woods at the vehicle gate. You can also walk up the woodland path closest to New Road.


All walks start from the centre of the Monk's Garden under the Crosier Seating - the semi circular stone seating with an abbot's staff in the centre.
